Hi, I'm Felix Daddo!

 

Howdy there, I build surfboards out of a little shed in Lawson Place, Manly. I got my first blank when I was ten years old, and It was a pre-shaped Al Merrick fish. From there I tryed hand shaping and glassing from scratch and after a few youtube clips, ding shop experience and local knowledge the boards started turning out alright. The ones I make now are all hand shaped, glassed, sanded and finished by me so all boards end up having their own unique back story. But most importantly I build boards to maximise rider enjoyment rather (and when your stoked for some reason you just end up shredding!) than straight up performance. As all boards are hand made for an individual, the board will end up riding better for the person rather than if it was designed and machined made for the mases. It also turns it into a unique experience for the customer where they learn how their board has been made and is more a piece of art rather than just a surfboard.
